A 22-year-old woman was expected to face charges yesterday after admitting to police that she falsely said she was abducted with her 5-year-old son from the Wheaton Metro station.
Sara Hernandez-Torres and her son, Isaac Hernandez, were found unharmed yesterday morning at a Rockville home with her boyfriend, Carlos Delcid, 41, police said.
An Amber Alert was issued by police Sunday evening after Miss Hernandez-Torres called her family from her cell phone to report that she had been abducted by Mr. Delcid.
The family called police.
Mr. Delcid was taken into custody after a Rockville city government worker who heard a description of Mr. Delcid's truck on the alert spotted both outside a home on Twinbrook Parkway about 10:30 a.m. yesterday
During questioning, Miss Hernandez-Torres said she made up the kidnapping story.
Lucille Baur, a spokeswoman for Montgomery County police, said Miss Hernandez-Torres did not want her family to know that she was with Mr. Delcid.
